Qualified Electrician

 

We are experiencing rapid growth and are looking for qualified electricians to work with our installations team who do site set ups involving mainly cabins and site welfare facilities.


About the role 

  • Hold a minimum of 17th Edition and ideally 2391 or equivalent
  • We provide full PPE
  • Have the necessary electrical qualifications - NVQ / City and Guilds level 3
  • Be a competent electrician able to use own initiative
  • You will also be required to carry out maintenance at various Tardis depots plus PAT testing on plant and equipment pre and post hire

 The role is from Monday to Friday

Transport Assistant Manager

We are experiencing rapid growth and are looking for a Transport and Compliance Co-ordinator to work at our busy Bloxwich depot.

Key Duties:

  • To closely assist, support and liaise with the Transport Manager in all aspects of transport.
  • Assist in the continuous review and on-going training of drivers.
  • Assist in general health and safety and compliance of the department.
  • Assist with the planning of all matter related to the drivers, including vehicle service and MOT planning.
  • Sourcing drivers to cover holidays on a weekly and sometimes daily basis.
  • Provide effective and efficient administration support to the operation.
  • Assist with the management of the defect reporting system.
  • Assistance in helping to oversee vehicle maintenance.
  • Assistance in helping to oversee vehicle maintenance.
  • Assisting compliance to Operator's licence and associated Transport Legislation in respect of all transport and procedures.
  • Assist with the completion of regular driver licence checks.
  • Assist with the Transport Manager in facilitating the maintenance of the fleet, ensuring all drivers keep their vehicles clean and tidy. Ensure all vehicles and trailers are ready for their service and MOT's and that tax payments are processed at the required time.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as requested by the transport/operations department.
  • Assist the Scheduling Manager.

Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of drivers hours and regulations
  • Experience of working within a transport environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative, working to strict deadlines
  • PC literate including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel

Reporting directly to the Transport Manager the Transport Administrator provides office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures and policies, and monitoring administrative projects.

Key Duties:
  • Ensuring the smooth running of day to day business
  • Communicating with suppliers, customers and subcontractors
  • Working closely with drivers and colleagues within other areas of the operation
  • Answering incoming calls
  • General administration
  • To respond promptly and accurately to enquiries

Key Skills/Experience:
  • General office experience

HR Officer

The Human Resources Officer is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, to include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counselling.

Key Duties:

  • Maintain policies, procedures and company handbook ensuring legal compliance and that they appropriately support business needs.
  • Provide advice in relation to employee performance, conduct and absence management.
  • Providing confidential ad hoc advice and assistance to Tardis employees
  • Assisting with preparations for disciplinary and grievance hearings as necessary.
  • Administration, co-ordination and support of Tardis recruitment ensuring attraction of the right employees to meet the strategic workforce needs of the regions, whilst implementing strategies for the retention of current employees.
  • Managing and maintaining contracts, personnel files and other employee information.
  • Assisting with the development of an induction programme for new employees.
  • Providing administrative support as required in respect of eligibility to work records and audits.
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in employment legislation.

 


Essential: 

  • CIPD qualified
  • Experienced HR Officer (2+ years)
  • Experience of working within a fast paced organisation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong influencing skills
  • A can-do attitude with a flexible approach
  • The ability to analyse, interpret and explain employment law
  • The ability to compile and interpret statistical data and communicate it in a professional and understandable mannger
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
